How to Keep Your Lunch Bag Clean and Fresh
A lunch bag goes through a lot - spills, crumbs, and daily wear. Here's how to maintain your Helldivers lunch bag so it lasts all year.
Spot Cleaning Only
The prints on these bags are heat-transferred or screen-printed onto the fabric. To preserve the design, avoid machine washing. Instead, use a damp cloth with mild soap to wipe down the exterior and interior. For tough stains, make a paste of baking soda and water, apply gently, then rinse. Never scrub aggressively - you might lift the print.
Drying Properly
After cleaning, let the bag air dry completely before storing. Do not put it in the dryer, as heat can cause the insulation to separate and the print to crack. Hang it upside down to drain any moisture from the interior. In my experience, this simple step doubles the lifespan of the bag.
Deodorizing Over Time
Over a semester, smells can build up. Sprinkle baking soda inside the bag, let it sit overnight, then vacuum it out. Or place a charcoal deodorizer packet inside during weekends. Avoid using bleach or strong chemicals - they'll damage the fabric and fade the colors.
